Huron Heights – Leslie Valley
Huron Heights – Leslie Valley is located in the north east corner of Newmarket, bordered by Green Lane to the North, Davis Drive to the South, Main and Leslie Street to the East and West.
It is a well-established neighbourhood with detached homes with generously sized backyards and mature lots. With lots of greenery and steps to trails, this neighbourhood is perfect for those who love nature feel and long walks in the evening. At the north part of this community, many homes are backing on to a conservation area, similar to Bristol-London neighbouhood, and there are no official plans for residential or commercial development on this land.
Ideally located close to the major highway 404, that has been extended in October 2014 further north, this area is great for those going to Toronto on a daily basis and also allows easy access to East Gwillimbury and Holland Landing.
Along Leslie Street, there is an excellent choice of restaurants, shops and going out options. New business area is now being formed at the corner of Davis and Leslie, which makes a great benefit to this neighbourhood. Just within 10 minutes drive, there is state of art recreation complex – Magna that features an Olympic-sized and three NHL-sized arenas, a 25-metre community pool and 21-metre learning pool, a full-sized gymnasium and walking track, three multi-purpose rooms, a restaurant and a pro shop.
At the west side of Leslie Valley there is George Richardson Park, famous for its recreational soccer for kids and also a popular destination for the annual Canada Day Celebration.
The schools are excellent including St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School ranked by Fraser Institute 8 out of 10 points. Terrific family friendly neighbouhood with exceptional amenities makes Huron Heights – Leslie Valley a great place to move in.
